@IceCreamKid - this thread is freaking AWESOME.
I'm quite new here but I decided to go inside from the beginning, learn from pros and make as much contribution as I can.
What I have learnt from this thread in recent few days:
1) Focus entirely on customers and their needs. I knew that in theory, but subconsciously I was thinking about money I could get from them. I'm working on it. This is huge.
2) Take action even if you think it's too soon. The perfect moment is right now. This was real pain in my neck because I was procrastinating about talking to people. It's just out of my comfort zone.
And then, thanks to your posts, I decided to go all the way. Yesterday I was at the conference and I dared to talk to a big cheese, who has a lecture there. It was a nice conversation and within 3 minutes he revealed me one small pain. Of course I have to dig deeper but now I have some clues I will follow... And the phone call set up with him!
