Here is a little cycle that keeps me going, and it can be used for almost anything:
Stage 1
Whenever you start a business you are like "WOW I want to work on it ALL DAY for a YEAR!" You are so gung-ho and energized by the idea that is very easy to work on it. You overcome all challenges like a whale eating minnows.

Reality hits and you finally comprehend the enormous amount of work it takes to build and maintain a successful business. You ask yourself if there really is time enough to do this. That little voice in your head starts to nag and say you cant do it. Stay away from head-winds and kill that little devil in your head.

Stage 3
Finally you just don't want to do it anymore and you want to let go and be lazy. If your dissatisfaction cycle was about life, this would be the stage were you commit suicide. The way to get out of this is to make small goals that you follow consistenly i.e. write 1 article every 3 days, gain 10 Facebook likes every week

By following your small goals, you can enter the last stage where your inspiration comes back and you can work on your business 24/7 again. Even better is that you know the specifics about what to do and so you can usually accomplish way more in this stage than the first. Obviously try to stay in this stage, as its the best so snipe down those discouragments before they even get close.
