If you create a Kindle eBook and earn $1, you have $1. If you want to grow your business, you may decide that you will just do what you have already done. There would be no doubt that you could do it, because you had already done it. So you sell another book, and now you have $2.
Then you double that to to $4, then $8, then $16, etc. After 10 doubling, you have $1,000. Each time, you are only doing what you have already done. There is no question as to if you can do it, only how long it takes you.
You know if you can double it another 10 times, you will be a millionaire.
But the fickle tides of commerce turn against you, and market for were-bear "romance" novels peaks out at $32k, and you have 5 more doubling to go.
You make a Udemy course about how to write Kindle porn, and make another $32k. Only 4 more!
To go to $128k, $256k, $512k, and finally to $1M, would just be more of the same, the same thing you had done 16 times before.
Anyway, I was thinking this might be an interesting mental exercise, since it involved looking "backwards" rather than "forwards". If someone has a hard time imagining earning $1M, maybe they can imagine doing something a second time.
