This is the very experimental beta version of my site
my site is designed proliferate a cause
that cause is lifestyle freedom (much like this site) but using social influence as a vehicle.
So here's what I've done so far
I'm getting between 50-200 visitors a day without paid advertisement, I do this by writing engaging content, I get subscribers mainly from the dating community and fitness trainers because at this level they stand to gain the most from my advice.
Today I spoke with a copywriter and told them what I'm trying to do with my brand and they agree'd to help me make this site better (really awesome girl)
2 clients have hit me up, how or why? Lol I honestly can't tell, but there's somewhat of a "trickle effect" when you engage people.. you can only engage so many people before one or two of them thinks.. "shit.. this guy might be able to help me" but I'm in the negotiation process with both these clients, honestly, revenue from clients at this stage is not even really a concern for me, If I can do it, great but my focus is elsewhere.
I recently quit my last job because I hated how impersonal and robotic it was, somebody who's passion is social influence has no business in a ultra structured environment that demands compliance, I feel like with my sales ability I can go out and create value independently within the year and at make at least the same money -only on my own terms.
this created a problem where I needed money from somewhere, I sold cars for a little while and I was awesome at it, I was selling about a car a day, but I hated the work, it required super long hours, dealing with people I hated... again, independent value creation was calling me.. so I bailed on that.
today I interviewed with an extremely progressive company that has found a way to generate massive value for both its customers and employee's I'm super excited to do it, it's less pay than the car dealership but it feels like getting paid to be myself.. which is my overarching goal anyway & can be used to maintain my lifestyle while I branch off and become independent by cultivating this brand. I destroyed this interview by the way, I mean, I worked in sales so I know what destroying something looks like... I STOMPED this interview.. both parts.. If they don't call me back I'm jumping into oncoming traffic because I don't know what's real anymore.
so now I have a trickle of potential customers, a little bit of organic traffic, a copywriter working with me to improve the site & make it more marketable, I have a product, my own framework, my own content & soon I'll have the steady income I need to make this project more practical...
from here I plan on accomplishing a few key goals
-gain "social leverage" basically I have to organize everyone who shares the same passion as me and give them a community where they can talk shop.. much like this one, that gives me a bigger "trickle" of potential customers, more brand recognition, more engagement, more growth... I plan on using google plus and facebook groups to accomplish this.. this community wont be about me though, it'll be about "the cause", I want to post my favorite content from guy's who are genius's in this field, start discussions, give people a place to belong..
-take the site from beta to full version, I'm gonna go from articles to videos, improve the layout and theme, get more engagement on that site & start paying for ad's.
-monetization, I'm going to put a product up, I'm a little too much of a perfectionist to do this so I might have to force myself to release something then use some affiliate marketing system to get sales, I want to go organic as possible with my marketing and I feel like that's a little more organic than targeting google or facebook ad's
so there you have it, the behind the scenes of a brand in the making, what I've done and where I'm going..
