On that note, To be fair. I am not saying C0VlD-19 is real or not. But I refuse to take the vaccination. I believe the vaccination was rushed and everyone is taking it like flies just because some else told you. I've read and heard from friends who were healthy that after taking the vaccination, they have started to see side effects that they normally did not have. I stayed in my apartment all year and never had COVID. I will say though some of my friends parents/grandparents died from COVID.
During the pan(ic)demic, I was on a train coming back from work. It was a very physical job (refurbishing fire escapes) so I was dog-tired.
I became aware of a verbal altercation taking place in the middle part of the carriage - I was at the end - and a woman was harassing a man about medical exemption papers. The man was not wearing a mask and when asked by a random woman why he wasn't, the man replied, "Exempt".
She then started really haranguing the guy and her voice was getting more and more hysterical, a couple of people near them kind of muttered, "Leave him alone", but most just sat there.
I got angrier, and angrier until I shouted at the top of my voice "VERE ARE YOUR PAPERS!!!" The whole carriage spun round to look at me, and again I shouted, "VERE ARE YOUR PAPERS!"
The woman realised I was talking to her and she said, "I beg your pardon?" To which I replied, "It's not Nazi Germany love, he doesn't have to show you shit. Leave him alone."
"B-b-but my son's a paramedic, and -" she said.
"Well done for him." I replied, "I'm sure it was a tough degree, but that doesn't give you the right to ask strangers for papers. Like I said, this isn't Nazi Germany."
A few people then piped up and agreed with me and a couple even clapped. My stop came and as I got up to get off, a Rasta man came up to me and smiled, he extended his fist for a bump and said, "Where are your papers man!" We both laughed and I got off.
Basically, I will follow rules that benefit society, but when people try flexing bullshit authority, I always push back. It's in my nature, which often lands me in situations where people think I'm an arsehole (TFLF members notwithstanding!) but hey-ho, I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
