Hey guys - I am enjoying this forum and looking to learn as much as I can and I want to level up. I am not sure how qualified I am but I figured why not share things that have helped me - in the hopes others may find them useful too.
I have a youtube channel that went from making like $50-$150 a month to $4000-$6000 a month that could be maintained in under an hour a day.
I had seen certain videos work but did not go all in and commit on those videos consistently. Then I made a simply commitment to a friend:
I would post 2 videos a day for two weeks and if I DID NOT - I would donate I think it was like $150 to a AWFUL organization. I really committed to that and there is NO WAY I was willing to donate to it. NO WAY. The key was I really made the commitment to stick to it. The key was not just the money but how awful the thing was. It was non negotiable. I think on this forum most people would agree - BUT to keep this just about the process - I won't mention specifics - just fill in the worst thing you can think of for yourself.
Anyway - I literally would go to bed exhausted and get back up to film and make videos many times. Really quickly I realized WOW! I am actually making progress - I think I made the commitment 1 or 2 more times but by then I was making actual money and the next month I was a full time youtuber.
I heard a addiction expert psychologist talk about the "consequence" method being extremely effective for people - if they really follow it. Anyways - that is my story. My productivtiity more than doubled instantly and that led to changing my life.
