Hi everyone!
First of all, I just wanted to tell you all how much I'm enjoying the book how much it's changing my mindset about the world surrounding me.
Now, for the question. I'm struggling with a minimum wage job which I've been doing for the last two years. It's super easy, but is getting me nowhere! That's why recently I went looking for another job. A bigger company, better training schemes and better prospects.
I've been offered a part time job at a biggest tech retailer in the UK, as a sales advisor. This means I would keep my old job to better support myself, cause at the very moment 20 hours a week on a minimum wage are not enough for me.
Because I'd be working more, I'll have less time to read and educate myself (unless I can call the new job as a kind of education). I fear of getting deeper into the Slowlane, but I feel like two years in the same boring job with no prospects is too dull and just plain useless.
Take the job = more money saved for future business capital and education courses.
Don't take the job = more time to read books and educate myself, though I'd have to deal with every friend and family member bashing me for turning down a better job.
Just a little more background: I have no degree. I quit two universities, though I have passion for programming, just never felt ready to enter the market because I never felt like I knew enough to compete with all the tech giants around there!
