I have background in the below, and know many people who also have background in the below.
Anyway, I bought a domain name.
Premise to the problem I want to solve: College business students want to get into Investment Banking Programs, Asset Management, Equity Research, (not just finance related) whatever the case may be, at good firms. These firms recruit from a pool of "target schools" - unless you network very well with the right people at these firms, if you're from a "non-target" its chances are slim to none that they will look at your application/resume.
Solution- Set the premise on the website with success stories from people who broke in, advice from higher up people in companies who broke in from non-targets, and sell an info product teaching how to network from a non-target.
My main competitor is http://www.mergersandinquisitions.com/ , they are completely catered to breaking into finance, especially investment banking, for anyone - not just a "non-target". They also own www.breakingintowallstreet.com, their major info product in this space is networking ninja.To be completely honest this advice is always very solid, tons of free content on their blog, but again, its not catered to solely non-targets.
I was wondering if you INSIDERS were in my shoes, would you move forward with trying to tackle solely the "non-target" niche, or would you think that there is not enough potential for reward considering the major competitor in this market (at least that I know of).?
