Here's some advertisements I used on facebookIf you done advertising,
did you track every link and tracked it?
On which ads did people click?
Where were those ads shown?
If you bought advertising, you bought traffic.
This traffic did not buy from you.
That hurts and "puts holes in your pocket", but that is called
MARKET RESEARCH you can't do that for free. Traffic telling
you they don't want what you offer is VALID IMPORTANT DATA.
a) you bought the wrong traffic that does not match your offer
b) your ad copy did suck and not push people to click
(good ad copy for ads sell the click to your website not the
product or the services in the first place, even you need to
mention them. most often just mention the benefits and
leave them curious to click and find out - however depending
on your strategy you need to "pre-qualify" and make people NOT
click on ads. For example you would not want people looking for
"freebies".
If you pay per click, try to pre-qualify people,
if you buy impressions get as many people over
and get as many people click on your banners/ads
b) your offer needs serious re-positioning (and your website design,
YOU NEED to dicate what people do on your website. You need to
clearly define a path - add an opt-in for people to give them a $25
off coupon if they are answering some questions for example!)
d) did you really target only the age group you had in mind?
e) your age group does not want to buy at that price (see b!)
P.S. : It is YOUR JOB to disect those "multitude of reasons".
Just tells me you didn't track your advertising, yet!
