Where are all the Boston people?

I was going through a lot of these threads looking for potential Boston meet-ups but there appear to be none...do we have any Fastlaners in the Boston area interested in a meet-up?

Originally from Boston, at school in New York at the moment. I come home every couple of months, I'm always up for a meet up whenever i'm in town.

I was going through a lot of these threads looking for potential Boston meet-ups but there appear to be none...do we have any Fastlaners in the Boston area interested in a meet-up?

Typically what we have seen is people want to get to know you a bit through more interaction online before they will agree to a meetup. Since you've been here a week, they don't know if you are :

• the next Steve Jobs
• their next door neighbor
• a Craigslist stalker
• a MLM recruiter
• or just a nice new person excited about the Millionaire Fast Lane

My encouragement would be to take off your coat, stay a while, contribute, and eventually you'll come to know several people in your area whose interests parallel your own. If you are looking for something more immediate, check out Toastmasters, the Lion's Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, or communal workshare spaces... all of which are known to be frequented by the fast lane types.

That is a great point, while I can try to assure you I'm here for positive reasons only, it is probably best to prove that through contributions and staying involved with threads. Thanks for the advice, I'll check back in at a later date!
