Hey, thought I will share something today.
For the past 7 months I have been dabbling around like a headless chicken trying to figure out what to do. I don't know whether you guys are like me but I have a SOOOO many things that I want to do! For example -
1) I wanted to hit the gym and become the Adonis
2) I wanted to be a great public speaker
3) I wanted to be awesome at Guitar
4) I wanted to start a profitable business. I had a pool of ideas and I wanted to execute 2.
5) I wanted to go out every night.
I have a few more, but these are from the top of my head.
Now what happened was that I did most of it. For example I started working out everyday, I started making daily vlogs, I started practicing Guitar for 30 minutes a day, I started going out at night and I started two businesses.
7 months later ... I am basically the same person I was 7 months ago. Nothing changed except that I got extremely frustrated. Maybe quite a few things changed like I definitely became a little "aware" of my mistakes. Maybe awareness should come from experiences like this.
Heres the thing, if you start doing 10 things you are spreading your effort and hence you are spreading your results. But if you are doing 1 thing, you are being laser focused with your effort as well as your results.
Look at the graph below. The red bars indicate a dabbling ADD dude. The green bars indicate a focused dude.
If you are ADD and want to do everything at once, PLEASE restraint from it. A quick action plan will be to prioritize all your goals and start with the most high priority one. And focus only on that for the time being. Once you achieve that goal or atleast get to a good level with it you can move on to the next one.
Give some time and make an impact in one thing. With the happiness, experience and confidence you get from achieving one thing you will be able to achieve the second thing a lot more easier as well. Your chances of success in every single of your goals will increase as you achieve one thing.
Isn't it much better achieving one thing than achieving none at all? For sure.
