As someone who read all the PUA stuff years ago I can definitely tell you money up to a point will help you better get girls. In my experience anybody claiming money doesn't matter is selling you something and if you don't believe me hard cheese (go learn the hard way). I went through periods where I worked 70 hours per week and never got the chance to go out and "prospect." Unfortunately it wasn't doing lucrative work like sales, I worked so many hours in a low paying environment. It is fair to call me the working poor during that time. I grew up riding public transportation and living away from the party scene and cool kids. If you like going out to clubs or live in LA your place better be close to where girls you like go. Anybody who can't catch my drift from that last statement is better off just continuing with their money/career journey.
By up to a point I don't mean go to the extreme end and make millions and then go out and take girls shoe shopping. I also see people that make more coin than me (think $100K+) that girls will not want to be seen with because they either look like dorks or their personalities suck. Even if you make 500K/year last thing girls want is an awkward dinner date with a geek. Obviously if she's out of her prime, sizing you up for marriage, that might be a different story. While "game" doesn't matter if you talk about stocks to her unless you're an A list celebrity you will bore her. Girls don't like being bored, hence why they watch drama shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Not sure if anybody mentioned it but high school never ends. Why I get into this whole money journey is to not only improve my living standards but also to improve my social standing. Once you do that up to a point the girls will come. You know what I would do with a higher earning power, this is a list of things I would do to get the girls thing out of my system:
* Travel more to exotic countries and get pictures of me having fun.
* Get a more centrally located apartment in the cooler section of town.
* Devote more time to charity.
* Get my hair styled, not cut. Women notice things like this.
If I had the time and resources to do all the above I would have more girls than I would be able to handle. I'd be a lot more interesting and just slightly more available since my free time has opened up. Notice how I didn't state I would buy a fancy car or fancy clothes (items that depreciate). Of course to cover that "cool" stuff I have other factors in play (that I won't disclose, sorry). If I had to explain my mentality if she don't want to hang with me then it will only be a matter of days before I reel in another one. Since there will be periods of time where I'm away at the places I normally frequent it will make girls wonder what kind of life I live.
I can definitely admit my life sucked but ever since a couple years ago things have changed for the better. Everybody here will be different, I suggest going out with a cool friend of yours and ask him what you're doing wrong. Strongly disagree with OP about his money assertion, money does matter to a point. I don't disagree with him saying looks matter though.
