Also, what do you work with (have not read the other posts on this thread yet)? One way of smoothly moving over to owning a business would be for you to ask your boss how much he pays for having you and the other employees (doing the same job) employed. If your employer pays a lot of money to have employees doing a certain job, then you can offer him the same service, but for a cheaper price, but still with high quality.

You may even be able to employ the same people he currently has employed under your guidance instead. That way, he pays less, you get a business to run, you make money. The next move would be too invite more companies as customers. Doing the same service for them as for your former employer.

When you feel ready for it, find an experienced COO and employ him (if there is money for it). Have the COO find ways of increasing revenue and annual earnings. Place yourself with the title of CEO.

The next step after that would be to groom the COO to be the CEO. And then promote the COO. Placing yourself as Chairman.

:iagree:That would be a great idea, and I have talked to my boss about business edicate but he just didn't seem interested, I think I'm going to bring up the idea again and see what happens.
