I don't know if this is my christian upbringing or whatever, but I have a huge block when it comes to money and prosperity. I'm living an average check to check life with my gf. We don't struggle but we certainly don't have a single chance to take off on a 15 day holiday. Neither now, or the next month. Or in 2 months. We have to work.
One of the major things that keep me down is my own head. I immediately think "how did this guy make all this money...can't be legal...what kind of business allows you to make that amount of money?" I'm trying to stay away from doom and gloom news, but in today's world you can't escape it, everyone everywhere is talking about crisis and job deficiency etc.
I don't think I understand business and making money. For example, my gf is working at an upscale boutique.
I can't understand how do the make any money. I consider all of the items there extremely overpriced. Yet people walk in and buy them. I can't switch my mindset to that kind of thinking. I can't comprehend people who can walk in a random store while on vacation and buy a piece of overpriced clothes.
And I measure everything through the prism of my salary. I have a feeling that everybody's making the same amount of $ like I am, therefore nobody should have more than me. I have to get rid of that poor man mentality. Please tell me how do I do it.
