The Train is your vehicle. It is your market or niche. What does a Train run on?
Well they used to run on hot coal.
The more you put in the further you can go. Hot Coal is everything you need to have to get that train running, It`s your knowledge and experiences which will take your passengers on the journey they want to go, because they know you`ve been in the same place as them.
You probably would not be intererested in getting fit if you could not gain awesome results from it, so why would anyone go on a Train without any Hot Coal.
The Coal is getting Hotter and Hotter and you can hear the sounds of the big old locomotive. You look in front just to see you are yet to lay the tracks in front of it.
Laying quality Tracks is all about CREDIBILITY. Advise others in your market, create brand awareness, give free value and go out of the way to help as many people as possible.
This is to ensure you will have a clean face and be secure in the future, for the People you Help will become your TRAIN PASSENGERS - How else would they know about you than if you didn`t help them?
Now your train is running and you have Tracks laid many miles in front of you. Some of those tracks you`ve built sooner, some later. Some lead to dead-ends and treacherous swamps.
This is why you need to have a GOOD TEAM with you. Your Wife, your Best Friend, your Editor, your Social Media Manager, whoever they are, make them count. They will point the direction your Train is headed to.
Is your Train headed to a bustling town full of passengers waiting for YOU or to an abandoned mining camp with worthless trinkets all over the shaft.
Congratulations. You made all the right choices and your Train has just arrived on the big PASSENGER STATION in the big frontier town. Are you on SCHEDULE, do you know where you are headed?
NO PASSENGER WILL ENTER A TRAIN WITHOUT A SCHEDULE
Know who your target audience is and where your product or service is headed to, and make it clear. On some stations hundreds of people may enter, on some maybe one or none.
Some stations are in dying villages while others are in up-coming industrial centres. As your Train rolls on, you`ll see which STATIONS are worth stopping at, and you`ll see which are a waste of time (DESTROY THE ANY BENEFIT MINDSET).
I`ve been journaling this morning and I started thinking about trains. And I got this thought into my head and just started writing this post. Sure took me a while. I hope you`ll find it valuable.
