So I've been doing a lot of reading on good habits, and I've read a good few threads on this forum about them, but just wanted to log my 2 cents.
A couple of weeks ago I realised my habits were atrocious. I'd turn the alarm off, stay in bed an extra 30 minutes, get on the computer and just browse news and pointless stuff, until 1-2 hours before my deadline (I'm currently freelancing). I'd eat garbage, and do no exercise. I'd created a schedule, but never stuck to it.
It got to the point where I'd literally wasted a whole day and was very much behind with due-in work, as well as completely neglecting countless other projects. So, after reading about habits, I thought I'd jump right in to my first one - a cold shower, every day for 30 days.
To those who think there's no benefits to a cold shower, well, you're wrong. I feel more awake, mentally stronger, my skin has definitely improved, and my sex drive is up up up
So, for all the times I wanted to change but didn't, I finally feel that by implementing some great habits - one at a time - I really can change my life. Next up? Wake up at 5am, every morning.

"First we make our habits, then our habits make us."
