^^^ THIS!!!Spending time to reach out to one's existing network is often more powerful than cold outreach to new people. In the quest to more leads we sometimes miss simple opportunities.
In our rush to get more followers, connections, and leads, we often forget to help our followers, connections, and leads.
Obvious automations I've not implemented yet are:
1) Send connection requests to followers who aren't connected. They followed to see my content right?
In this forum I DM every single person who follows me saying "Thanks for following. How're things going? Andy"
Most people respond because they're surprised I thanked them for just following them, and I'm kind of top of mind at that moment.
On LinkedIn, if I send a connection request to a new follower then I reckon they're likely to accept it. If I then message saying "Thanks for following, and for accepting my connection request. How're things going?" then I suspect they will be nicely surprised I reached out and thanked them.
Then we can chat. (I'll figure this part out later IF I end up in too many chats.)
2) Message my connections. I've 12k+ connections. Surely there's some business to be had amongst all of them if I ask if they know anyone who needs help with XYZ?
And surely I can figure out a way of unconnecting with people who haven't replied, Liked a post, or Commented on a post, and who match other criteria (not in target countries etc).
3) Cull my connections. See above. Weve a limit of 30k. I don't need to just yet but may need a way of automating this later.
I've setup an auto-accept of connection requests, with an automated message. This is a godsend as it saves me time doing it.
I'm also scraping and sending connection requests to Commenters on my posts. I send a Thank You note and had some great conversations to date.
I'm scraping Likers of my posts but not sent connection requests yet as I want to set up the automations above first.
I love that you ask if they KNOW anyone who needs help, rather than directly asking them."Hey xxx, it's been a while / we've never taken the time to chat. I see you got a new position at xxx. [...]
Do you know someone in your network that could need Googles Ads?"
Yes. And you get to find out what help they need, so you can help them, be seen as helpful, and find out new products/services to sell.I've found that when you message people and not sell to them directly, they feel more inclined to respond.
It does indeed! There's other tools as well. I'll see how much of what I want done can be achieved with Phantom Buster first. Also, Phantom Buster feels like a superpower when you use it efficiently.
A problem I don't have, yet, is too many conversations. When that happens I'll figure something else out.
