Typically fraud businesses present a visionary future that attracts investors, people, media all eager to be part of the "next big thing". They promise fast money, revolutionary products, incredible free services and what have you.
Not to mention the fraudster usual natural charisma.
Take for example a well known fraud company Theranos - Wikipedia
Real time blood tests? Hell yeah.
How much of their vision can be realized though?
I think people really want a quick and easy way to do blood tests, what can be done in that area to actually provide a real service for blood tests?
Or another example Charlie Javice - Wikipedia
175 million for a fraud company.
What was their service?
Student financial aid application assistance.
Can this be done honestly?
Its obvious that people want to use such a service, cant someone figure out how to do it?
My point is, fraud businesses expose massive opportunity in the market.
The more massive the scam the larger the opportunity like it reflects the market need.
Sure, its not always possible to actually provide the service that the fraud business advertises, cause they outright lie, but for some of them I think its doable.
