i took your approach and i went with the approach of how can i help them. The meeting actually went really well! I got to know more about their business, their experience and some of the challenges that they have faced. They were lovely people. I just need to develop a proposal for them and see where it goes from here. Thanks for the advice!!The more you do the better you will get at settling the nerves, imposter syndrome is always there. When your on a roll with sales you will find it's less there as your winning deals and your confidence increases.
Why do you feel like you won't be able to deliver?
So I frame the meeting I'm going to as I'm here to see if I can help them, no pressure to close in fact I don't even know if I can help them. And if I don't win I got better at sales as a win as I learn where I went wrong and adapt for next time.
Like I told my son people love talking about their business, in fact no one ever goes up to them and ask them about their business. Like imagine a party and you start yapping about your business an eye's roll like yeap ok whatever. But you care you're on a mission to find out about their business and let them talk as no one ever ask them this stuff.
It will help calm your nerves once you realise the goal is to let them talk more than you. One of my good buddies has a quote there is a reason you have 2 ears and one mouth lol.
As they talk just get curious about there business, what there main problem is with the website for example, what would it look like if you fix it so you know what they looking for
Just have fun, come back into this thread if you need to an update your journery. Man my first few leads I was so nervous I'm suprised I closed them at all.
Means your at the edge of your comfort zone is, this is where the magic happens congrats on getting a meeting 😀
