Hello, it's Matteo.
I introduce myself: I'm from Italy and I am a freelancer who deals with the creation of websites, photography and videomaking.
I mean, I'm doing this saving money, looking for a fastlane business: in the meantime I improve my skills.
I worked with SEO also, with excellent results. I did affiliate marketing too, but I did not go over hundreds bucks monthly. However, it was useful to learn the play rules.
From few months, an idea is making its way into my mind. I am trying to analyze it analytically, without being influenced by moralism or anything else.
And it is about pornography.
And the question is...is it a good Fastlane Business?

When I was a teenager I wachted it often, but now I seldom use it.
But, when I do it, I see what the market offers and I continue to see unexploited niches.
I know that many people say that the competition of free tube sites made the sector unprofitable. But, at the same time, when I surf on these free tube sites to look for more specific fetishes, I find nothing. Or I find low quality movies, did by unqualified people (I mean, no professional lights, not cinematic shots, absolutely nothing).
As long as I'm looking for something mainstream it's okay. But as soon as I look for something "particular" or "kinky" I only find video trailers made by great producers, which refer to their sites. Then, I have to go to paid sites.
The only solution would be to look for videos of these producers on pirated/torrent sites, which I do not do for obvious reasons.
What I mean? That there are some big players that do "particular" videos. And they do it in a professional way. And they are big. Just think to Kink or other specialized producers. Maybe they do not make as much money as they used to be in the last years, but they do it.
You want to see something particular? You must pay. Or you download it illegally (and this is the only obstacle that I see to take this way).
Offer is wide, but it's all very similar. It's like music business: there are many songs, but they all look alike.
But maybe if you offer something that fill a niche, you can satisfy a need. That people will pay, if they have that need. And if you can offer something that pushes people not to download, it may work.
Is like amazon. It is an e-commerce and it's mainstream. But this does not prevent the proliferation of small niche e-commerce that sell products that Amazon does not deal with.
I have the technical skill. It intrigues me. Do I should do it?
What do you think about? Somebody work in this type of business?

NO! IT'S A INFAMOUS BUSINESS AND YOU WILL FINISH IN THE HELL!!!!11!
Okay. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I red this topic with much interest and the 90% of answers was about porn addiction, human trafficking, ecc.
1) Does the pornography addiction exists?
Yes. But the TV addiction too. Fast-food addiction too. Videogame addiction too. ecc. ecc. Everything cause addiction. Let's deal with it.
And, however, there are a lot of people that use pornography and they aren't addicted. My 2 cents.
2) The pornography is about human trafficking and prostitution!!!11!!!! Think to your daughter!!!11!
I think 90% of people worried about human trafficking have never talked to a prostitute or a lap dancer. Or, if they did, it was only by dispensing paternal advice on what she was doing wrong in her life, without listening to her true needs.
There are people who reject to work 8 hours a day until retirement at 60, so there are people who reject to do a "normal" job and choose something that excites them. Like the prostitute or the pornostar.
There are also people forced to do it? Yes, of course. But it's like drug trafficking: if there's a need, there are criminals who satisfy that need. The solution is never to prohibit or deny the problem, but to find suitable solutions. And this is not the place to talk about it.
There is a famous Italian producer who, before hiring actresses, asks them to wait a few years to figure out if this is what they really want to do in their lifes.
Solution isn't don't do the things. Is do the things in the right way.
