What's something you saw and stopped, or couldn't?
Something that didn't seem right.

Here's mine.
Five years ago my parents had a ''deal.'' Attend a presentation for a time-share, and receive tickets to a show free!
What they don't say, is you will be talking to a salesperson who would hand wax, buff, and kiss your feet to get you to sign a contract to purchase a time-share.
Now at this time I had a pretty good interest in money. So when they dragged me along to a buffet filled with people getting a free lunch, I didn't care/know exactly what was going on.
They had a stage set up, and whenever a timeshare was sold, everyone would clap. There was festive music playing from a live band, and tables..and tables of roast beef, pork, and oysters.
My parents were quickly grabbed by a lady I instantly decided I just didn't like, and led to a tall table.
I now wonder if the tables were set that way to deter kids? I however, sat on my dad's lap.
The lady feigned interest, and opened a beautiful briefcase, which would be ours if we signed.
While the lady rambled on.. and I do mean RAMBLED. I picked up her side of papers and started reading legal forms.
She looked down, pursed her lips—then decided not to say anything and kept talking about a fireplace.
Then she said it.
''you will be able to pass on this time-share to your kids!''
hey wait a minuet. What do you mean?
Oh honey! Your parents will be able to pass this amazing opportunity on to you, and you your grand kids! It can stay in the family name for generations!
According to this.. ''tap forms'' we pay to rent the house right? That's right!
Then we never buy anything. So your passing my parents a bill to me. And me my kids.
The lady looked like she had eaten a lemon. Then she cleverly got rid of me. Looking back I'll admit. Having a game station set up was genius.
However, my parents tried to cancel the deal shortly afterwards. Although for some stupid reason they did sign! Most likely for the tickets? (worth $200) Turns out they lost around $400.
