I'm sitting at Starbucks right now. There are 13 people in total here - including me.
Straight ahead of me there is a group of 5 girls. They are drinking coffee talking about some guy named Joe. Apparently Joe is nuts.
The kid across from me is roughly 25 years old and playing a Game Boy. He has a coffee infront of him, and a pack of cigarettes, which he has not opened. My guess is that he's trying to pick up a girl. But he fails to see that the GameBoy is not helping and that the girls are not interested.
There is a group of Asians to my left. They are not speaking english. One man is wearing scrubs. The other two appear to be in a relationship. My guess is that they met for a casual get together after the one man finished work.
There are two middle aged men off to the side. It appears as though they have just met. They are talking about their sons and their 401k!
Another guy just walked in and sat at the empty table. The count is up to 14. He is now intensively starting into space.
Oh and my fiancee is sitting across from me working on a paper.
There are 14 people (including me) in here. Only 1 person is actually building a business at the moment (minus typing this post). Only .07% of the people in Starbucks are actually reaching for the fastlane. And that is me. I feel like this situation is a great example of the real world - but on a smaller scale. Many people don't Enter the fastlane, because they never try.
