It is a transformative revolution, and much bigger than transportation. Revolutions are always disruptive.

The Agricultural, Industrial, Technological, and Information revolutions were all very disruptive and made many jobs obsolete. But they absolutely provided major increases on overall wealth.

As has been stated many times on this forum, wealth is a multiplier. It absolutely can make people's lives better, but with skewed priorities it can make things worse.

This "Intelligence revolution" is no different.

At least, not yet. At some point there will be machine intelligence connected to production systems that enable self-replication, at which point there will be "artificial life" that could outcompete us.

But we aren't there yet, and you can always drive yourself crazy with the "what ifs," so I don't see a need to worry about it too much.
