The real reason to be your own video game character

My own insecurities about not being thorough or "perfect" enough really go overboard sometimes. The personal value I get from working with AI is to "cover all bases". I get paranoid from potentially "forgetting" something.

1. Nobody appreciates this over here and you can be banned for it, as stated in this thread.

2. You're doing yourself a gigantic disservice.

Writing teaches you how to think. It teaches you how to organize your ideas.

The human brain is extremely energy efficient. It constantly reinforces the frequently-used connections, while pruning down the unused ones. It's use it or lose it.

If you continue doing this, your ability to read, write, and think will gradually degrade over the years. Which is ironic, since we're on the "life as a videogame" thread, and you want to level up, not level down.

I've said this previously - depending on how you use it, AI will either make you rich or poor, smart or stupid:

At first, I was very skeptical of AI and brushed it off as mass hysteria fueled by idiots.

But, after a recent experience, I've changed my mind. This is a tool of unprecedented power that exceeds the internet in its transformative potential.

The long-term effects of this technology on science, medicine, the economy, etc. are impossible to predict. But for our own individual lives, this is what will happen:

1. Money

• Those who are already productive will 3x their business.
• The lazy and incompetent will be wiped off.

2. Education / Knowledge / Wisdom...
