Does anyone here have any experience using buddy-press or know what the best social platform to use would be?

Essentially I want my users to be able to share ideas and network during the beginning phases of starting their online business, it would also be an avenue for them to connect and secure guest posting opportunities, cross-promotion, etc...

Just looking for some outside advice.
