This is how you muscle in on a real estate deal, he essentially tied that house up for only $500k. Now either he can wait the bank out and they will take his offer. Or someone will want the house bad and have to buy Trump out.
Either way he makes a nice return on his $500k investment.
When I say sometimes you have to slit a few throats in this business, this is what I mean. Except in this case the party getting screwed deserves it, ie Bank of America. I have seen other investors pull similar crap to this with private people, actually my uncle just caught one today trying to muscle in on one of his deals.
All I can say is to bad the house has rights for use of the driveway, if not and I were in that position I would block it. Make the people get their Allen Edmonds dirty walking up to the front door.
