What are your biggest missed opportunities?

A few weeks ago, when I was reading the book by Felix Dennis, there was a section in which he said one should take some time to think about all the opportunities they have missed because fear got in the way. An example I had on Sunday was when I was driving through the city and had to stop at a red light. As I looked around, there was a beautiful woman waiting for the bus. I looked at her the entire time, and when the light turned green, I drove on. A short time later, I realized what Felix Dennis meant by "missed opportunities." After this revelation, I thought throughout the entire drive about my past and what I had missed out on in life because I simply didn't take the chance to act. I would now like to know from you what your biggest missed opportunities were that you did not take, whether they were financial, love-related, or in any other area.

We make better decisions when we think about the potential asymmetry of our choices...

For example, what if that woman would ultimately become your wife simply because you chose to speak with her?

What if nothing happened after speaking? Or you were simply rejected and became more bulletproof to such rejections?

The bottomline is the upside far exceeds the downside, which makes the choice asymmetric.

I actually never really thought about it because I always applied the concept of asymmetry only to big and more important things. Do all your decisions in life, whatever you do, always follow this principle, whether they are big or small?
