I posted this in the Random Chat thread yesterday but think some might miss it so reposting as it's own thread.

I've been meaning to create content and a video series on this for a while but won't get round to it unless I make it a live workshop and someone signs up to attend.

TL-DR

I'm thinking of doing some Zoom workshops on how to use Google Ads to perform market research, on a whiff of spend.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll flesh it out.

If it goes well I might do other workshops on other ways to perform market research.

EDIT: This could be a 5 day email course instead of a workshop.

Andy

The post from yesterday:

Went for a wonderful walk with Bella and these two gorgeous chaps this Sunday morning (and no, that's not our home in the background).

Bella is the black labrador, but you guessed that given my name right?

Anyway, on the walk the lady who owns Lucky in the foreground mentioned how she's planning to go into business with a friend.

They'd love to present workshops but never seem to have the time to get anything going, what with work, family, walking dogs, etc.

Here's the thing about not having enough time - it's just another way of saying it's not a high enough priority for you (but it sure sounds better than saying "It's not important enough so I did something else instead").

My suggestion for them?

Set a date for a workshop and get just ONE person to sign up.

As the date looms near and you've still not found the time to prepare then it suddenly becomes a priority!

If you beat yourself up for letting yourself down then try making it about someone else. Not wanting to let someone else down can often be enough to spur you into action.

On that note, I'm thinking of doing some Zoom workshops on how to use Google Ads to perform market research rather than "drive traffic" (maan, I hate that phrase).

If you're interested just let me know below.

Oh, and I'd love to know what YOU will "presell" before building so it forces you to build or do something.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi Andy, is there any prerequisite to join the call? I know nothing about Google Ads but your content in the forum acts as a guarantee that it will be interesting. I'm in!

Ooo. Great question. No prerequisites.

I'm in. Market research - Do you mean finding products or testing/seeing if your product has a chance?

A bit of both.

Off the top of my head:
  1. Performing keyword research with the Google Keyword Planner.
  2. Reviewing search results to see if you can compete.
  3. Launching Google Ads campaigns to gather real-time market intelligence.
  4. Continous improvement via Measure, Report, Analyse, Act.

Sounds great. I'm in.

I like this, count me in.

Count me in. I took your paid course and found it useful both to get me running and later to keep an eye on my Ad vendors. Now.... if we can request topics, can you go over the basic conversion trackers? I'm having absolute hell getting mine running, and it seems like it should be really easy, just a few HTML/javascript pastes.

Count me in as well!

Seems this is getting a bit of interest. It's not something I can do till August-2024 but there's enough interest and I think it will be fun.

I get @FastNAwesome to set up the conversion tracking for our clients.

This sounds like a great thing to workshop, especially for those wanting to start a product or service business.
Count me in.

A forum members started a leadgen SaaS and asked his clients for Google Ads questions.

I just sent him my answers and will be posting them to my newsletter tomorrow (link in signature). I won't post to the forum as it's for his newsletter/clients.

It's got a lot of tips I'll be covering in the workshop.

Hey, Andy.

Did you already hold the workshop or schedule one? I'd love to hear your wisdom on the topic.

I've not held the workshop yet. It's hard doing Zoom calls in the evening with kids and a dog!

I might do it as a 5 day series of emails with screenshots. I've not decided yet.
An email series would be more convenient for me too. I can read and re-read it whenever I want, which is super helpful. And I totally get the evening struggle—I have a similar issue with my three kids!

I'm interested in this! I've been doing Rob's Fox Legends program, so learning about ads would be useful to help clients in addition to making a website for them.

is this still available? learning google ads from you sounds very beneficial for me who has no experience

I'll try to get this done some Wednesday evening, maybe 10pm GMT. I'm looking at Streamyard at the mo.

Hey Andy, thank you for this. I'm interested! :eyes:

This would be awesome. I am definitely interested. Thank you Andy!
