How to identify the need in the market?

Hi everyone, I am Abrar, newly joined.
Although I recently started a (SAAS reselling + marketing) business, I am struggling to identify the need in the market.
MJ talked a lot about identifying the need > doing what you love.
What are the ways to start identifying a need in the market? How do I approach it ?
Would be grateful to know your thoughts and opinions.

I suppose a good place to start would be to try and find pains in your own life that you think you could resolve. You want your product to create value, and you can create value by easing people's pain, so explore and keep track of your own.

Thanks for your reply, Akhtar. I am looking into service based market and in that case sometimes pains in your life doesn't relate to the pain of the business.
For example I might had a depression problem which I can solve but the market needs a POS solution which is completely unrelated and require different skill which I am happy to work for.
But to find out that the market needs a POS solution is the part where I am struggling.
