G'day from the land down under!
I've been in this forum for a few weeks and decided that I should complete my introduction.
I'm Ben and i'm 21 years old. I completed a commerce degree in Australia graduating this year and have worked as an accountant full time since. I have never been an avid spender, and for as long as I can remember I have been searching for ways to make money that did not come from a job (no one I have talked to about business seems to see my viewpoint).
I picked up the millionaire fastlane audiobook while completing some rudimentary data entry at work and resonated with it from the first chapter. I have never liked the idea of investing for the future while sacrificing today and am ambitious to instead focus on building a business that provides a solution to a problem within the marketplace.
I feel like I am in a good spot to work on a business, while I have no dependants, no debt (paid for university outright from my supermarket job), and low six figures saved. I have shifted my perspective from money chasing, after countless attempts at such business ventures (drop shipping, etc).
I am currently in the research phase of my business, have created my 10/5/1 plan and starting to open my eyes and observe problems that could be turned into a profitable business.
My current goals
- Identify problems that could be solved, or where a solution could be improved
- Learn sales skills
- Get my Ferrari (part of my 10 year plan haha)
What I intend to get from this forum
- Improving my problem spotting skills.
- Learn from others who have been in the same position as me, and to gain any advice they have from their own journeys.
Thanks for reading.
