I don't remember in which copywriting book I learned that products have life-cycles.
It means that the marketing strategy must constantly evolve or the product dies.
This pushes advertisers to constantly find new problems or to rebrand them so that customers keep on buying their products.
That changed the way I look at society.
I used to believe all the problems in the world were real.
Now I just look at all that as narratives manufactured by those in charge to get people to keep on buying.
But I actually don't believe any of these are real problems, or that the world is about to collapse.
The world has been collapsing since we came up with this concept.
It's also a concept that doesn't exist in other cultures, where cycles, instead of being linear, are circular.
